Multi-hyphenate Mariah Carey has teamed up with Swiss luxury manufacturer and retailer Chopard to present her latest jewelry collection titled “Happy Butterfly.” The entire collection of their delicate designs are cast in the shape of butterflies, which the singer wears frequently.
The limited-edition Mariah Carey x Chopard Happy Butterfly high jewelry collection is currently available for purchase on the luxury brand’s official website. These intricate pieces, which range in price from $11,800 to $23,500, are crafted in the eponymous butterfly shapes.
The Mariah Carey x Chopard Happy Butterfly collection will be released in two episodes
Carey recently launched two collections created in collaboration with Caroline Scheufele, President of Chopard. Their intricately crafted collaborative jewelry comes in two installments.
Everything in her debut collection, simply titled Chopard x Mariah Carey, is encrusted with diamonds. Items include a large butterfly necklace, a butterfly ring, and angel wing earrings. They are all in Fairmined certified 18 carat white gold.
The second collection, Happy Butterfly, offers more delicate and casual jewelry such as rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings (also all molded in butterflies). These pieces are available in pink gold and white gold.
The description of the collaboration on the luxury brand’s website states:
“Symbol of metamorphosis, a butterfly reinterpreted by Mariah Carey with majestic proportions and sensual curves while conveying an ethical message, is now at the center of an astonishing new collection of diamond jewelery brought to life by Chopard.”
The Honey The singer recently shared the news of her partnership with Chopard via her IG handle. She expressed her gratitude for Caroline’s creativity and beautiful designs with a caption that read:
“I am very grateful to Caroline Scheufele for her boundless creativity and for bringing this collection to life. I never would have thought that this metaphor that has become synonymous with me could be immortalized in such a beautiful and delicate way. Happy 25th birthday butterfly.
Interestingly, Mariah’s new Happy Butterfly collection debuted at the perfect time to coincide with the 25th anniversary of Butterfly, one of his hit albums. The sixth studio album was released by Columbia Records on September 16, 1997.
According to the luxury brand’s website, Mariah has transformed herself into much more than a fairy tale queen thanks to numerous humanitarian actions that are in line with Chopard, illustrating the butterfly effect in which a kind action, a kind deed or a smile lights up the whole world.
