Nantapong Chiralerspong, Deputy Director General of the Department for the Promotion of International Trade (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, chaired the online press conference of ‘BGJF Virtual Trade Fair (The 66th Special Edition)’, a virtual fair for stones precious and jewelry between 22-24 June 2021 via www.BGJF-VTF.com. This online event aims to create new opportunities in global trading for gemstone and jewelry entrepreneurs in the new normal.
The Deputy Managing Director of DITP said that “this online event aims to create new opportunities in global trade for gemstone and jewelry entrepreneurs and enable them to ‘FILL-REFORM-REFINE’ in these difficult times through marketing innovations in the new normal. This is part of the 14 Ministry of Commerce roadmaps led by Mr. Jurin Laksanawisit, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce.
The Deputy General Manager pointed out that the BGJF Virtual Trade Fair (the 66th Special Edition) is a virtual trade fair available to everyone free of charge. He also estimated that the results will unfold as planned. “The BGJF platform is designed to make visitors feel as if they are in a real salon. It will feature digital storefronts of over 600 companies from around the world as well as online business matchmaking services that can be booked in advance directly or through trade commissioners from around the world. This event is expected to generate at least 450 online business correspondence and THB 500 million in revenue. To help support entrepreneurs whose businesses are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, these special sessions are free, ”said Mr. Chiralerspong.
Besides business showcase and matching, visitors are welcome to learn more about gemstone and jewelry trends and participate in other activities including webinars hosted by Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT) and the BGJF flash sale, which are the special live events. Streaming sessions, as well as reports on key gemstone and jewelry trends.
The second part of the “BGJF Virtual Trade Fair (The 66th Special Edition)” online press conference featured a conference on the topic “Key Jewelry Trends: Precious Stones and Jewelry Market Directions After COVID-19 With speakers including Ms. Nisabudh Virabutr, Director of Lifestyle Trade Promotion Office, DITP, Sarran Youkongdee, Designer and Founder of SARRAN, and Dr. Thitiporn Sathavormanee, Director of the Luxellence Center. The press conference ended with a special “Journey Through The Gemniverse” jewelry show featuring top Thai models.
