Shiba Inu owners can now buy diamonds with SHIB on BitPay from the NYC-based jewelry collection

payment service provider BitPay announced that a New York-based jewelry collection, SuperJeweler, is now accepting cryptocurrencies, including Shiba Inu via BitPay.

Besides Shiba Inu, BitPay supports major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dogecoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Wrapped Bitcoin, and five USD-pegged stablecoins (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDP, and USDC).

This implies that Shiba Inu owners can now purchase diamonds, rings and other jewelry offered by the New York-based jewelry collection ahead of Valentine’s Day. The SHIB community is also preparing in earnest for the scorching V-Day SHIB Lovers’ Party scheduled for February 14 at 2:00 PM CST.

BitPay is the world’s largest Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payment service provider launched in 2011. BitPay set out to change the financial industry when Bitcoin was still in its infancy, making payments faster, safer and cheaper in the whole world.

In December 2021, BitPay announced the integration of Shiba Inu into its wallet app, allowing SHIB to store, buy, trade and spend.

Shib Lovers Burn Party for Valentine’s Day

U.Today previously reported on the upcoming Shib Burning Parties scheduled for January through April, as noted in the roadmap. The Shib Lovers merchandising campaign is currently running from January 14 to February 14. According to Bigger Entertainment, 80% of the proceeds from all purchases by Shib lovers will be used to burn SHIB.

A total of $94,756,430 million has been added to the SHIB burnpot ahead of the SHIB lovers’ V-Day burn party, as seen on Bigger Entertainment’s website.

Burning Shiba Inu tokens permanently removes them from the circulating supply. This is done by sending the tokens to a special wallet with unobtainable private keys. The dwindling supply in circulation could eventually drive the price of the Shiba Inu higher.

At press time, 410,301,499,932,240 SHIBs have been sold out of the initial supply of one quadrillion, according to ShibBurn. SHIB was also trading at $0.000021.
