Recently, Pharrell Williams – American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and fashion icon – launched a new global auction house called Joopiter. Recently, Joopiter held its first sale – 49 pieces from Pharrell’s collection, including shoes, clothes and jewelry and jeweled accessories made by Pharrell in collaboration with jeweler and watch designer Jacob Arabo, better known as “Jacob the Jeweller”. On the Joopiter website, bids can still be placed.
Among the pieces are custom-made diamond and fancy color diamond pendants, gold cases for Pharrell’s Blackberry 8700 and Sony PSP, Casio G-Shocks set with pavé in yellow cognac and black diamonds, and another with white, cognac, yellow and black diamonds, as well as a pair of Oakley Razor Blade glasses covered with approximately 10 carats of diamonds
A highlight is Pharrell’s iconic NERD character pendant by Jacob & Co. – a bespoke 14k yellow gold, rose gold and diamond pendant and matching chain commissioned in 2004 to celebrate the NERD supergroup collaboration between Pharrell and his longtime partners Shay Haley and Chad Hugo. According to websitethe 14K yellow gold pendant and chain “contains a stunning array of yellow, black and white diamonds that frame the ruby-set NERD brain logo.”
