Graff is known for its exquisite diamonds. The London-based jewelry house has acquired many notable diamond acquisitions, some of which have set world records. As a vertically integrated jeweler, the house cuts, polishes and sets these incredible diamonds in-house, giving it control over every facet of these stunning diamonds.
To coincide with the spring equinox, Graff unveiled Tribal, its new high jewelry collection. The collection focuses on white and yellow diamonds, with an exceptional suite of emeralds, in three sculptural patterns. The collection is inspired by the stories our ancestors told to each other to explain the world around them and the heavens above, so these designs focus on the sky, the sun and the stars – a language understood around the world.
Francois Graff, CEO of Graff, told Forbes: “Tribal is a fabulous collection, inspired by the magical tale of the girl who made the stars. For me, the iconic and timeless symbols that unite the collection evoke a deep sense of being connected to the world around us on a universal level. Tribal raises the bar in fine jewelry and pushes the boundaries of creativity, craftsmanship and exceptional stones for which we are known.
Graff Graff Gateway features striking architectural designs. These pieces feature abstract ovals with pear-cut or round diamonds inside. They conjure up swirling galaxies with a shining diamond star at their heart. For a more delicate, almost lace-inspired look, the Graff Gateway choker and cuff bracelets alternate rows of round diamonds and diamonds with a more subtle oval pattern.
The powerful New Dawn collection is inspired by the rays of the sun rising above the horizon. These pieces feature sunburst patterns set with white or yellow diamonds. Some diamond spokes spiral out of a prominent center stone, while other pieces focus on geometric compositions. The New Dawn necklace features 374 white and yellow diamonds with a pear shaped Fancy Vivid Yellow diamond in the center.
Finally, the Night Moon collection presents sparkling diamonds reminiscent of starry skies. These pieces feature half-moons paved with diamonds in striking geometric patterns inspired by elemental shapes found in nature.
The collection was launched with a magnificent campaign shot on location in the dunes of Atlantis in South Africa. Mikael Jansson photographed Portuguese model Sara Sampaio in these secluded dunes alongside bespoke blackened steel sculptures inspired by designs from the Tribal jewelry collection.
